Le Meridien Putrajaya
Audiovisual Design For Ballroom, Meeting Rooms, Gym and Restaurants.
Le Meridien Putrajaya was built to offers a lush escape with superb service, modern rooms and inspired amenities. The hotel is located in a prime location near corporate offices, Putrajaya International Convention Centre and the IOI City Mall.
The Le Meridien Hotel, Putrajaya, fit-out project covered a gross area of 100,000 square feet across three floors—including the Millennium Grand Ballroom and its pre-function area, meeting and function spaces, a poolside bar, fitness centre, business centre, kids club, and multiple toilet facilities.
Artistic Controls was selected as AV consultant to provide Audio Visual design to the ballroom, meeting rooms and BGM for the public area.
The AV System Design
The Grand Ballroom consist of 2 separate ballroom that can be combine as a one ballroom or separate into two individual ballroom. The most important in this design is the need of an Audio Matrix switcher and a Video Matrix switcher. This will ensure that each AV input can be route to different ballroom display separately or as one main display. A digital loudspeaker management was specified to be part of the Sound System. The projection system will required 3 DLP Projector with 3 nos of large Motorised screen 20’x 20′ in size.
Two Lighting Control Desk where one as a master lighting console to be installed to control the LED spotlights mixed with conventional spotlight will create a blend in the ballroom lighting design.
All Meeting Rooms will consist of a LCD Projector on fixed pole and 8’x 8′ Motorised Screen. Loudspeaker and mixer in the mobile rack will be installed in all meeting room and function room. For the Restaurant the need to install high performance ceiling speaker to provide BGM facility with localized volume control. The BGM shall be interface with emergency evacuation announcement system via dry contact to mute the BGM when fire alarm take over.
Digital signage as part of the hotel requirement for display system that show current media types, menus, information and other internet data and media to be installed for the Ballroom and all Meeting Rooms. A fully customized digital signage system for the lobby area.
After a full understand of the Marriott requirement and a number of meeting and discussion with the project team to the wide variety AV features & functionality that might be considered within a conference space of this type, a full AV Specification tender document was prepare for the hotel to start selecting the right AV contractor for this job.
The project was commissioning successfully by the AV Contractor and it was handover on time ready for the hotel opening in August 2016. As AV Consultant our job is to ensure that the appointed contractor must follow strictly to the tender document requirement in line with Marriott AV guideline for their establishment.
