Hilton Hotel Kota Kinabalu located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman Asia City Kota Kinabalu Sabah was completed in 2016 built by operator and developer Pekah Hotels Sdn Bhd. The hotel is a 12-story property building offering a total of 305 rooms and suites, all-day dining, Grand ballroom and complete facilities for business and leisure travelers.
Artistic Controls has the opportunity to work as part of the project team to design and install full Audio Visual Solution for the Ballroom, Meeting Room, BGM for Public Area, Digital Signage in the public areas and audio in restaurant and bar. All design pertaining to AV system must follow Hilton Global AV guideline on the equipment and system selection.
The Grand Ballroom consist of two event hall that can be combine as a grand ballroom. The main AV System requirement has to include both audio and video Matrix Switcher system.
For Audio System we installed Yamaha MTX5D a 16 x 16 digital audio matrix switcher with dante. With Yamaha TF5 as main Digital Console give the flexibility to manage the sound output and playback. All speakers is by Yamaha coaxial ceiling a high performance speaker.
The projection system consists of 3 units Panasonic Full HD WUXGA on Motorised Lift. Draper Rolleramic 16’x 16′ Motorised Screen was chosen as it gives the best view angle and low noise motor operation. Extron Matrix switcher was installed as part of Matrix Switcher.
Integrated Remote Control by Crestron Control provide flexible control for bring down the lift and screen as well as controlling the sound volume.
For hotel digital signage requirement the solution is provided by Samsung Digital Signage system
The Digital Signage system with MagicInfo Player builtin. Magicinfo is a powerful content and device management solution giving the hotel operator the ability to easily create, schedule and play content across their signage display.
For the display we provide for the system Full HD Industrial Grade Samsung monitor at the Lobby, Ballroom and all Meeting Rooms and Pool side. We even have the signage display inside the lift.
All display require a separate Cat 6 cable to a network switcher and connect to a dedicated computer for the scheduling and content preparation.
The hotel requires a separate BGM to play back music to the public area. As they have Public Address system for evacuation the ceiling speaker is not suitable to play music for the hotel.
For this Yamaha Digital Matrix Processor DSP multi-zone audio system was installed to provide different source of music entertainment to difference speaker zones. Yamaha Commercial ceiling speaker 6.5″ type were selected and installed as hotel BGM system.
The wall mount Digital control panel a volume control with 4 select switch panel were installed for each zone to allow the operator to select difference music and set the volume level for the playback area. Each of the control panel run by category 6 cable back to the matrix processor unit.
With the state of the art AV System installed especially for the Ballroom AV System the hotel has soon been the talk of the town.

The grand ballroom easily caters for 800 people in banquet style setting and 1,000 people for meeting seating arrangement, weddings will be one of the main events that will be occupying the grand ballroom. Not forgetting the corporate private events and government events and meeting hosting and soon the AV system facilities will heavily used.
