28 March 2011 - ADB has announced that they have discontinued Mentor and Mentor XT desk and Phoenix 2, Phoenix 5 and Phoenix 10 Control Desk. It is no longer available to the market. Instead It is now been replaced with Freedom and Liberty Lighting Control Desk.

ADB Lighting will unveil at Prolight and Sound in Frankfurt Germany the LIBERTY and FREEDOM, two advanced lighting control desks, based on the very powerful HATHOR software platform previewed earlier this year.

ADB LIBERTY is the spot-on solution for space-challenging environments and any cost-conscious venue seeking a fully integrated solution to control conventional and moving lights as well as LED sources and other modern equipment in a compact and portable package with the capacity of much larger and more expensive lighting consoles.

FREEDOM offers the ideals solution when many multi-parameter instruments need to be controlled and fast access is required. Features include four additional rotary wheels with pushbutton function, a set of special keys to manipulate moving lights and a large trackball for precision positioning control.

A part from Mentor and Phoenix discontinued ADB also has terminated since last year the MICROPACK DIMMER PACK series and they have been replaced by the MIKAPACK 15 (6x3kW) and MIKAPACK 30 (12x3kW) dimmer range. The economic dimmer range performs very well and they have also been a success for ADB and their partners, according to ADB latest Newsletter.

For professional/ broadcast application ADB continues to offer the MEMOPACK RACK as well as the EURORACK 50+ and EURORACK 60 dimmer ranges.

To standardize certain optional and accessories, all ADB mobile dimmer solution and wall mounted racks are now supplied as standard with 1 Pole/ Neutral disconnect (PROT/MCB/1P+N) protection in order to comply with all safety regulations.

All mobile dimmers are fitted with XLR5 connectors mounted on the front panel only.
